CREATING THE CONDITIONS
Regenera | A Agrofloresta Itapema nasceu do desejo de regenerar

AGROFLORESTA ITAPEMA

Agrofloresta Itapema was born from a desire to regenerate

To regenerate land that had been managed conventionally for many years. To regenerate the relationship between people and nature. And, along the way, to regenerate the way we understand growth, development and prosperity.

Located in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais, Brazil, Agrofloresta Itapema is a project in constant evolution. A place where agroforestry, reforestation, natural building, education, hospitality and community come together to explore new ways of producing, learning and living.

More than a rural property, Itapema has become a living laboratory for observation, learning and experimentation.

Over the past years, we have immersed ourselves in agroforestry, regeneration, living systems and human development. We have learned from farmers, practitioners, researchers and partners. We have experimented with different approaches, observed results, adapted our course and continued learning from the evolution of the system itself.

It was through this combination of practice, reflection and observation that many of the principles that inspire Regenera today first began to take shape.

Here, regeneration happens in tangible ways: through caring for the soil, restoring biodiversity, planting trees, producing food, building with natural materials and creating spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, with one another and with nature.

We believe regeneration is not a destination but an ongoing practice of learning, adaptation and care
